“Change of Prayers” - 2024 Lessons [4mins]
"Change of Prayers:
Not "some way to get with them" - but a way to stop wanting to
Not "some way to get rid of something" - but a way to stop trying
Not "some way to save my child" - but a way to lose your fear
Watch how reality shifts. "
That quote (Mediations, M.A) summarizes the lesson and action plan I'm taking into 2025.
I'll elaborate with specific lessons and examples from this previous year:
Faith: to keep taking ultra small steps - especially when you can't see the next stair in front of you, or how far you've come, or how far there is yet to go. To trust, through knowing of the past experiences, that a landing will be there. Perhaps the landing is different than you expected or wanted, but then you must argue with either Chance or Nature - fools errand.
To forgive oneself for time it took to analyze, change, move on, or think better. The past led me here (X) - and Here is all that matters. Then, to hold onto guilt and shame over the past poor decisions is to resist nature and the presence of Now. Which is blaspheme.
Avoidance only exemplifies the issue. It is always better to take a breath and face Nature (Life) immediately. Bison are the only animals that instinctively turn into a snow storm because they know they will exit the storm faster that way.
When I have wealth, or when people think I do (in any form) - that the same amount, if not less, people call me on Christmas.
To know I've done everything reasonable within my understanding to stick and succeed at the original plan. The final outcome of which is now either a factor of
1) random Chance, or;
2) intentional God
Neither of which I am prepared to argue with. (Though I could argue they are one in the same).
If public failure or humiliation is to come, then I shall accept it graciously. To be honest and not hide from the outcome or shield myself from public pain. To accept pain as a gift from fate - transforming me into what Nature needs.
Pain is the self inflicted believe that it "should" be different. To know that circumstances (desired or undesired) are either completely random; or simply Nature demanding more from you to achieve it's ultimate goal. Think - even if you made different/ better decisions that may have avoided certain painful outcomes you're currently analyzing - that Nature always acheives what is Necessary.
Therefore, the path whether righteous or lacking morality, that brought me here X was itself Necessary. Know - there is no other way for Nature to exist, but to perpetuate what is Necessary.
It's too easy to fall for the trap of self-hatred and guilt on "should haves" - especially when we can see our own character lacking. Then, to accept the current status and minute by minute do "better" - by
1) accepting the present moment (peace)
2) not fearing the future
3) being fully honest, and;
4) most importantly, praying to receive the next instruction/ step that "will do the most good for the most people" and the strength follow it faithfully.
Adlerian philosophy: Any 'undesirable' outcome was actually the Subconscious Mind's goal all along. That, then, begs a whole new set of questions people rarely ask...
Why would that be my goal in the first place? The answer is both surprising, yet immediately intuitive when asked in any situation. Hence, "The truth will set you free."Pain and physical illness both begin, and end, in the mind. There is no such thing as an external, chronic illness - that is simply against Nature. Therefore to be sick or in pain is only a matter for and of the mind.
To value peace more than happiness. To reject happiness for peace is the Hard Work that Nature demands; though many still believe it's to deal with pain.
Remember that peace often comes in the middle of the darkest storms - ones that demand surrender to Nature/ fate/ God.
But also to remember that peace is not limited to those dark moments. To practice when things are easy and happy, to regulate back to indifference - that is, back to peace.The more you want something, the more it rejects you (even if 'it' isn't consciously aware).
No answer, is an answer. It's saying "move on".
The truth. X happened, now we’re onto plan B. That is all. Let that settle with people however their own nature demands.
The problem is always larger in the mind than in reality. Need proof? Everything in reality is just a blimp on the endless time continuum.
